How Long can a Canadian Citizen Visit Florida?

How Long can a Canadian Citizen Visit Florida?

There are two tourist visas, business (B-1) and pleasure (B-2) for visitors. Canadians who own holiday residences in the US should apply for the B-2 visa as the other visa is for business.  The B-2 Visa is an extended tourist visa that’s normally issued by the foreign US Consulate, and it allows a tourist to remain in the United States for up to six months at a time.  Note, the limit is 6 months at a time.  Exceeding this time limit will have severe tax consequences for you.

There is no immigration prohibition against leaving and returning right away. This means there is no automatic obligation to wait six months in Canada. However, there’s one thing to be aware of, if the visa holder ever overstayed, too frequent visits may become a problem at some point, and immigration will ask the visitor to return with a more permanent visa.
